FAQS

What do you do with the jewelry when you get it?

I look through the jewelry, clip off parts of the jewelry that I don’t use, and wash and dry all pieces.

Do you make new jewelry from the old jewelry?

No, I do not make new jewelry from old jewelry. I take the old jewelry apart to use in my designs.

How do you know what kind of design you will do?

For my artwork, I start with an interesting piece of jewelry that I will design around. Sometimes the main piece is funky and contemporary; sometimes it floral based, and sometimes a couple of pieces of jewelry come together to make a natural setting. Every piece of my art is one of a kind – totally unique and almost impossible to recreate.

For custom work, it depends on what I am given to work with and what type of design the customer likes. I will design some things, take a picture of them and send it to the customer for their opinion. The final piece is completed when the customer is happy with the design. In addition, I try hard to use only the pieces of jewelry that the customer gives me, meaning I try not to add any of my own “baubles” to the piece, especially if the customer doesn’t want me to add any of my own pieces.

How long does it take you to create a piece?

That all depends on the creative juices flowing in my brain! For custom pieces, I will do everything I can to get the work to the customer when they need it.

What is the difference between your wall hangings and your picture frames?

The wall hangings are done on a wood artist panel that is about ¾” thick and all you need to do is hang them on a nail. Sometimes the panel is painted by me.

The picture frames are good quality frames manufactured in the United States. I use quality cardstock for the backgrounds, and you may find more than one color cardstock in your piece! You can certainly put in your own cardstock.

How is the jewelry affixed to the wood panels and picture frames?

I use high quality glue and make sure all pieces are secure before they are wrapped and shipped. If a piece falls off, and you still have the piece, all you must do is glue it back on. If you don’t know where the piece goes, just contact me.

How are your pieces priced?

The price you see includes sales tax and cost of shipping.
